The day-to-day workflow of running energy.
Wia isn't just a dashboard. It's the system your team runs energy on, every day - alerts to chase, audits to complete, surveys to send, tasks to assign, infrastructure to keep healthy.
Energy management has historically been treated as a reporting deadline: a week of scramble at the end of the quarter. Manage flips that. The day-to-day work - investigating an alert, walking a site, closing a task - happens inside Wia, with the data already on hand and the history already captured.
How the workflow runs
From alert to closed task.
01
Alert fires
Wia detects a deviation - anomaly, ghost load, schedule drift - and creates an alert with severity, site and the underlying data attached. Pushed to Slack/Teams/email per your routing rules.
02
Assign + investigate
The energy manager triages the alert, assigns it to a team member, and opens the investigation - usually a site survey or a remote BMS check. Status moves to In Progress.
03
Resolve + measure
The fix is applied. The alert is closed with notes. Wia keeps watching that meter for 30 days to confirm the deviation doesn't return. Measured savings flow into the portfolio scorecard.
Inside Manage
Everything Manage does, in one place.
Alerts
New → Acknowledge → Resolve workflow. Per utility, per site, per severity - with escalation rules and integrations into your existing ops stack. Each alert carries the underlying data so triage is one click.
Audits
Site assessments with structured report generation. Built for energy walk-throughs - checklist-driven, with photo capture and findings tied to the dataset. Output drops into the certification (LEED, BREEAM) workflow.
Surveys
Field-team data collection - meter surveys, BMS audits, site setup. Web and mobile, with offline support for sites where connectivity is patchy. Configurable forms per use case.
Tasks
Assignable work with due dates and ownership. Tied to alerts and audits so the trail from finding to fix is visible end-to-end. Integrates with your ticketing system if you have one.
Status
Device and gateway health across the portfolio. Online / attention / offline at a glance, with a per-device timeline of signal, firmware and uptime. Drill into a single device for the full history.
Support
Built-in ticketing. Wia engineers triage directly inside the product, with the device, site and history already attached to the conversation. No bouncing between portals.
Manual Upload
Drag-and-drop CSV / Excel ingestion with previews and validation. For sites where retrofit hardware isn’t installed yet, or for backfilling historical data. Bulk support.
Invoices
Vendor invoice ingestion with tariff and consumption split. Reconciles automatically against metered data so discrepancies surface as alerts. Feeds the budget-vs-actual line in Reports.
Investments
Capex and opex tracking per site - model the project, audit the result. Closes the loop between an Optimise recommendation and the savings actually delivered. Outputs feed the board pack.
Fleet management
Thousands of meters, managed as one.
Every IoT meter, every cellular gateway, every BMS endpoint - visible across your portfolio at a glance. When a device drops offline, we know before you do. The grid below is real device health across a contract-logistics portfolio.
OTA firmware. Per-device signal & uptime history. Auto-replacement workflow for hardware end-of-life.

FAQ
Common questions
Can different teams own different alert types?
Yes. Routing rules are configurable by alert type, site, severity and time of day. HVAC alerts to facilities, anomalies to the energy manager, device-health alerts to support - automatically.
What happens to closed alerts?
Every closed alert is retained with the data trail, the resolution notes and the measured-savings outcome. Audit trail is exportable for ISO 50001 and SOC2 reviews.
Do field surveyors need an internet connection?
No. The mobile survey app works offline; data syncs when the device returns to coverage. Photos and findings are stored locally until upload.
How do investments link back to opportunities?
When you mark an Optimise opportunity as actioned, you can attach the capex/opex project. Wia tracks the meter against the predicted savings for 12 months and reports the variance.
